‘Way of the Cross: A Walk for Justice’ to be prayed on Good Friday

The 22nd annual ecumenical “Way of the Cross: A Walk for Justice” will be held on Good Friday, March 30, in downtown Louisville.

The procession and Stations of the Cross will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Romano Mazzoli Federal Building, 600 Martin Luther King Jr. Place, and conclude at 11:30 a.m. at Founders Square Park at Fifth Street and Muhammad Ali Boulevard.

According to a press release, participants in the 1.5 mile walk will stop at 14 locations downtown to reflect on situations of oppression and suffering today.

Several Catholic and Protestant churches and organizations that advocate for social justice and equality sponsor the annual prayer service.

St. William, Ascension, Epiphany, St. Agnes, Christ the King and Good Shepherd churches are among the sponsors.
