Video on service wins mayor’s award

AssumptionLogo2015-fAssumption High School won the high school division of Mayor Greg Fischer’s “Give A Day” video contest, part of the mayor’s Give A Day week of service, which was April 16-24 this year.

The video, titled “Compassion Inspires,” was created by senior Katelyn Steerman and showed Assumption students taking part in acts of service and compassion.

Mayor Fischer will present a $500 check to Steerman during an awards ceremony May 20 at Actor’s Theatre of Louisville.
