Ursuline Sister Mary Rose Rohmann dies

Ursuline Sister of Louisville Mary Rose Rohmann, 87, died March 4 at Mercy Sacred Heart in Louisville. She was a native of Louisville and had been a religious since 1944.

For more than 45 years, Sister Rohmann helped with house duties, nursing care and food service in Ursuline convents throughout Louisville. She also served in convents in Omaha and North Platte, Neb. during the 1950s.

Survivors include a brother, Raymond Rohmann, nieces and nephews and the members of her religious community.

Visitation will be March 7 at the Ursuline Motherhouse, 3115 Lexington Road, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a vigil service at 7 p.m.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated March 8 at 11 a.m. in the Ursuline Motherhouse Chapel. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
