The Archdiocese of Louisville Family Ministries Office will hold information sessions this month to those interested in joining a BeFriender Hospital Ministry Team at Baptist Health, University of Louisville Hospital, Jewish Hospital or Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
Information sessions, which last about an hour, will be offered at the Maloney Center, 1200 S. Shelby St., at 10 a.m. on May 20 and 27; June 3, 17 and 24 and July 1, 8 and 15.
Adult Catholic men and women who are practicing their faith are invited to participate in the BeFriender program, which serves Catholic patients and their families in the hospital. BeFrienders aim to provide a compassionate, non- judgmental,
listening ministry of care.
Training consists of weekly training sessions that will begin in early August and end in late October.
