Theology of the Body sessions scheduled for June, July

An introduction to St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body will be offered next month at Holy Family Church, 3938 Poplar Level Road.

The Theology of the Body is the topic of a series of 129 addresses given by St. John Paul II on the subject of human sexuality. The upcoming four-part series seeks to explore the “fundamental questions of God’s plan for humanity — Who am I? Why am I here? How do I find happiness?” said a statement from the organizers.

Sessions will be offered in the afternoon from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will be repeated in the evening from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on June 11 and 18 and July 2 and 9.

The sessions, which will take place in the parish’s Reide Room, will be facilitated by Cathy Blandford and John Sohl. There is no cost to attend. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP at familyrenewalproject@gmail.com or call or text 502-244-6820.

The sessions are being offered in preparation for the “Made for More: A Vision of the Promised Land” event which will be hosted by Catholic author and educator Christopher West on Sept. 18.
