The Office of Multicultural Ministry will offer Spanish for pastoral leaders

The Office of Multicultural Ministry is offering Spanish for pastoral leaders or anyone who wants to communicate with Spanish-speaking members of their faith community on topics related to formation. The topic areas covered will be the alphabet; how to pronounce certain words; key words and questions; examples of conversation; parish rectory or parish center dialogue; Mass terminology; parish ministry; and religious education.

This class is designed for pastoral associates and administrators, parish staff, directors of religious education and anyone else who ministers to the Spanish-speaking community. No previous knowledge of Spanish is required for this class.

The classes will meet on Nov. 6, 13, 20, 27 and Dec. 4. They will be held at the Maloney Center, 1200 S. Shelby St., from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost for the class and materials is $50. To register or for more information, call the Office of Multicultural Ministry at 636-0296. Deadline for registration is Oct. 31.
