Second annual ‘Heroes of Hope’ banquet to be held on Oct. 26

The Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Multicultural Ministry will host its second annual Heroes of Hope banquet Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Catholic Enrichment Center (CEC), 3146 West Broadway.

The event honors local individuals, agencies and businesses for their contributions in the area of youth development, a news release from the Office of Multicultural Ministry said. The event also serves as a fundraiser. All proceeds from the event go to programs and initiatives at the CEC.

The following individuals and agencies will be honored: Loueva Moss (civic and religious leadership), Holy Spirit Church (social concerns), Charles Johnson (West Louisville Community Ministries Board) and George Merrifield (St. Jude Foundation).

International cuisine will be served for dinner at 6:30 p.m., and the presentation of awards will follow. Tickets for the event are $40 and can be purchased by contacting the CEC at 776-0262.
