A reunion for those who took part in Catholic parish teen clubs in the 1950s and 60s is planned for June 16 at the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church picnic.
The reunion will be held in front of the bandstand from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
St. Elizabeth was home to the KOSE Club, which stood for Kids of St. Elizabeth. But all those who were members of teen clubs around the area are invited to attend.
“Anyone in any teenage club is invited,” said Dale Cashon, one of the organizers.
“The teen clubs really were a focal point of social activity back then,” he said. The reunion will provide an opportunity “to get people back together to remember times when we had big parishes” full of young people.
The reunion will feature music provided by two bands, The Blues Benders at 6 p.m., and Cadillac Shack at 8 p.m.
