Students collect $11,000 for Rice Bowl

Students from Holy Trinity and St. Margaret Mary schools have collected more than $11,000 for Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) Rice Bowl program.

Student leaders from both schools met at the Rice Bowl kick-off event held Feb. 2 at DeSales High School and challenged each other to a friendly competition to benefit CRS Rice Bowl.

“With the challenge, both groups worked to inform their school families and parish families about the work of CRS locally and globally,” according to a news release from Holy Trinity School.

St. Margaret Mary parish collected $6,553.37 while Holy Trinity parish collected $4,492.78.
