St. Stephen Martyr to host 14th annual health, safety fair

The parish community of St. Stephen Martyr will host their 14th annual Community Health and Safety Fair Sept. 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parish’s Activity Center.

The fair will include on-site mammograms (pre-registration required), flu shots, free health screenings, medication disposal, a kid zone, door prizes and free activities for all ages.

Vendors will include Norton Healthcare, Planet Fitness, Mortenson Dental, My Class 101 College Planning, LG&E, Kentucky Eye Care, Caring Hands and others who will offer educational resources and screenings.

Debbie White, the parish health ministry coordinator and faith community nurse, oversees the event and said it has steadily grown each year. Last year saw a record attendance of nearly 500 people.
