St. Paul Church to host healing retreat

St. Paul Church at 6901 Dixie Highway will host a “Mini Healing Retreat” from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on June 9 and 10. Mass will be held each day from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., and after Mass, there will be two sessions of preaching, with a 20 to 30 minute break in between. During a break, a light supper will be served.

An hour of Eucharistic Adoration will begin at 7 p.m. each day. The retreat is being held in collaboration with the Syro-Malabar Catholic Community of Louisville.

The service on June 9 will be held in the St. Paul School gymnasium, and the June 10 service will be held in St. Paul Church.

The retreat will be conducted by Father Mathew Naickomparambil, a Vincentian priest from Kerala, India. He will be joined by a team from the Divine Mercy Healing Retreat Center in New Jersey. Those seeking prayer requests for any need — physical, emotional, spiritual or even material — are invited to experience the retreat.

For information, call Conventual Franciscan Father Leo Payyappilly, pastor of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Community, at 322-4282, or Conventual Franciscan Father Dismas Veeneman, pastor of St. Paul Church, at 935-1223.
