St. Margaret Mary Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road, will offer programs for adults and children aimed to help participants cope with the upcoming holiday season.
- Programs for adults and children dealing with seperation and divorce will be offered on Nov. 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
“DivorceCare — Surviving the Holidays,” will be offered for adults who are going through or have gone through a divorce. At the same time, children whose parents have separated may attend a program to help them prepare for the holiday season.
- Programs for adults and children who are grieving a loss will be offered on Nov. 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
“GriefShare — Surviving the Holidays” will address how to deal with emotions, what to do about traditions, helpful tips for surviving social events and how to find hope for the future. A program for children who have lost a loved one will be offered at the same time as the adult program.
The requested donation for each program is $5 for adults and $5 for children. Adults will meet in the Spirituality Center. Children will meet in one of the kindergarten classrooms.
