St. Catharine awards 169 degrees

St. Catharine College in Springfield, Ky., awarded 169 degrees during commencement exercises May 9.

Among degrees awarded were 59 associate degrees, 95 bachelor’s degrees, 15 master’s degrees and two certificates, according to an announcement from the school.

Madeline Abramson, wife of Jerry Abramson, former Kentucky lieutenant governor, spoke at the ceremony.

William D. Huston, St. Catharine’s president, presented diplomas. Huston announced in February that he plans to retire in June after 18 years of service.
