St Albert students collect shoes for clean water

Photo Special to The Record

St. Albert the Great School eighth-grader Chidubem Ozor, left, and sixth-grader Trey Hall carried bags of shoes to a waiting van Sept. 11. The students collaborated with the parish’s Social Concerns Committee to collect 1,200 pounds of gently used and new shoes for WaterStep — a local non-profit that helps fund safe drinking water projects globally.
