Sister Mary Justin Wheeler, SCN, dies at 102

Sister of Charity of Nazareth Mary Justin Wheeler died at Nazareth Home on March 1. She was 102 and had been a Sister of Charity of Nazareth for 85 years. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on her 103rd birthday.

Sister Wheeler, a native of Bardstown, Ky., served in Kentucky and Ohio in community service, as a cafeteria supervisor and in the apostolate of prayer.

She is survived by nieces and nephews in Central Kentucky and her religious community.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on March 7 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent Church with burial at Nazareth Cemetery on the grounds of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Motherhouse in Nazareth, Ky.

Visitation will be on March 6 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Nazareth Home and after 4 p.m. at St. Vincent Church. A prayer service will be conducted that evening at 6 p.m. in the church.
