Office of Worship offers training sessions

The Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Worship will present two educational events in March. The first will be a “Eucharistic Exposition and Benediction Workshop,” that according to a release from the office will “focus on the practical elements of celebrating the ritual the church has provided for exposition and Benediction.”

Sessions of the workshop will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 18 at St. Barnabas Church, 3042 Hikes Lane, and on the same day from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Holy Family Church, 3926 Poplar Level Road. There is no charge for the workshop, which is funded by the Catholic Services Appeal.

The office also will hold training sessions to update extraordinary ministers of holy Communion on March 20 and April 9. This is for people who have completed the Communion Minister Formation Program and who need to fulfill the every five-year renewal requirement.

The March 20 session will be at the Maloney Center, 1200 S. Shelby St., from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The April 9 session will be at St. Athanasius Church, 5915 Outer Loop, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
