Sister Angela Killmeier dies Sept. 21

Ursuline Sister Angela Walburga Killmeier, 95, died Sept. 21 at Mercy Sacred Heart. Sister Killmeier, a native of Louisville, entered the Ursuline Sisters in 1936.

She held bachelor of arts degree from Ursuline College and a master of arts degree from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
In Louisville, Sister Killmeier taught at St. George, Holy Trinity, St. Boniface and St. Ann schools. She also taught at Sacred Heart Academy and at Angela Merici High School, and in Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi and Pennsylvania.

She is survived by two brothers Louis and Vincent Killmeier, both of Louisville; nieces and nephews and members of her Ursuline Community.

Visitation will be at the Ursuline Motherhouse, 3115 Lexington Road, Sept. 24 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by a vigil service at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Sept. 25 at 11 a.m. at the Motherhouse Chapel, with burial in St. Michael Cemetery.
