Single men and women ages 18 to 40 are invited to attend discernment events sponsored by the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Vocation Office.
- Men are invited to attend the Men for Christ Discernment Retreat March 7-9 at St. Meinrad Seminary in Southern Indiana. The retreat is designed to help men discern their vocations. It includes speakers, eucharistic adoration, time for personal prayer and one-on-one spiritual guidance.
Those who know young men who may be candidates for the priesthood are asked to invite those young men to attend the retreat. The cost is $30. More information and registration information are available at www.louisvillevocations.com/retreat. - Women are invited to attend the May 7-8 “Nun Run,” a 24-hour tour of various communities of religious women around the archdiocese. The event, designed for those curious about religious life, will visit sisters in five communities serving in Louisville, including: the Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand, Ind.; the Ursuline Sisters of Mount St. Joseph, Maple Mount, Ky.; Sisters of Mercy; Carmelite Nuns; Ursuline Sisters of Louisville; Little Sisters of the Poor; Sisters of St. Walburg Monastery, Covington, Ky.; and the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.
The weekend begins May 7 at 6 p.m. and ends May 8 at about 8 p.m. Transportation will be provided. Participants will stay overnight at the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville campus, 3105 Lexington Road.
