Shively Area Ministries, which is supported by area churches, will present “Music of Ministry,” its eighth annual banquet and concert featuring The Monarchs, on Sept. 21 at the Crowne Plaza at 6:30 p.m.
Father Thomas Gentile, a retired priest of the Archdiocese of Louisville who served in the Shively area for more than 22 years, will be honored for his work with the ministries. Other people and organizations being honored for their service are Susan and Kevin Duncan, Gail and David Boggs, John Celletti, Hyland Family, Hyland Insurance Network, Wendi Sampson Family, Chemours, Save A Lot, Lift a Life and First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
