Sacred Heart Model School, St. Aloysius win Quick Recall titles

Sacred Heart Model School won the Catholic Schools Academic League’s (CSAL) sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade Quick Recall tournament Nov. 6 at St. Raphael School. And St. Aloysius School in Pewee Valley, Ky., won the CSAL’s sixth-grade Quick Recall tournament held Nov. 3 at St. Aloysius.

In the sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade division, Sacred Heart Model School defeated St. Albert-White in one semi-final match 33-21. St. Raphael-Green defeated St. Agnes-Blue 36-16 in the other semi-final match. Sacred Heart Model School then defeated St. Raphael-Green in the final match 32-17.

Thirty-nine teams from 27 schools participated in the sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade league this season.

In the sixth-grade division, St. Aloysius defeated St. Agnes-White 23-16 in one semi-final match and Holy Spirit-Red defeated Holy Trinity-Green 24-13 in the other semi-final match. St. Aloysius defeated Holy Spirit-Red in the final match 27-26.

Twenty-seven teams from 18 schools participated in the sixth-grade league this season.
