Sacred Heart Academy broke ground last week on a 35,000-square-foot addition and renovation project.

The “expansion and modernization initiative” is funded by donations to Sacred Heart’s $30 million “Sacred Heart Forever” campaign, according to a press release from the school.

“These state-of-the-art facilities will better serve students, faculty, and families by enhancing daily learning experiences, strengthening collaboration, and deepening the connections at the heart of SHA sisterhood,” Sacred Heart president, Dr. Karen McNay, announced during the ceremony.

According to a press release from the school, the additions will include a new dining hall, outdoor patio, student-run coffee shop and cafe, entrance and “grand hallway,” conference center and a “Student Life Empowerment Hub with collaboration spaces and offices.”
