‘Reverse raffle’ will benefit Shelter House

The Franciscan Shelter House will hold its sixth annual “Reverse Raffle” at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at St. Stephen Martyr Church, Hess Lane and Pindell Ave.

The event will feature a dinner and silent auction as well as the “reverse raffle” which features three levels of tickets and winners — a $75 “red” level which will feature a $3,500 prize winner and five additional winners of lesser amounts; a $50 “blue” level with a top prize of $2,500; and a $25 “white” level which will include a $1,000 winner.

The annual event helps to fund the Franciscan Shelter House kitchen at 748 S. Preston St., which has been serving the hungry and homeless since 1980.
