Reading program planned at the Catholic Enrichment Center

RecordLogo-F“Read with Me,” a new program offered at the Catholic Enrichment Center, will begin on March 6 and will continue every first Monday and every third Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Parents and guardians are invited to bring children — toddlers through pre-school age — to the center at 3146 W. Broadway for the free program designed to “help create a stronger relationship between parent/guardian and child,” a new release about the program said.

The program also aims to promote academic excellence and basic speech and reading skills.

The program is sponsored by the Shawnee Branch of the Louisville Free Public Library and the Catholic Enrichment Center, a ministry of the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Multicultural Ministry.
