‘Race for Grace’ dinner to benefit Kentucky Race Track Chaplaincy

The Kentucky Race Track Chaplaincy (KRTC) will hold the “Race for Grace” fundraising dinner April 30 on Millionaires Row at Churchill Downs.

Hall of Fame trainer and author Carl Nafzger will serve as the keynote speaker. Tickets are $150 per person, and a table for eight is $1,100. Various levels of sponsorship are also available. The evening will include live and silent auctions of “unique horseracing memorabilia, sports tickets” and other items, a news release said.

The KRTC offers ecumenical worship services in English and Spanish each week. A network of churches, including Epiphany, Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Edward churches take part in various volunteer roles at Christ Chapel, located on the backside of Churchill Downs.

Proceeds from the dinner support the chaplaincy’s ministry to race track workers. For ticket reservations and sponsorship opportunities, visit kychaplaincy.org or call Christ Chapel at 636-4476.
