Jack Chauvin, a seventh-grader at St. Margaret Mary School, organized “Pushups for Charity: Louisville” in recognition of Veteran’s Day Nov. 8. The Louisville event is part of the national Pushups for Charity campaign, which kicked off last May 17, on Armed Forces Day.

Seventy individuals performed 14,321 pushups, which nearly tripled Chauvin’s goal of 5,000 pushups. And, $5,400 was collected for the Boot Campaign, surpassing the $5,000 goal. The Boot Campaign provides services for returning military and their families, including education, housing, medical services and support.
