Program on ‘Biblical literacy’ to be presented on June 9

The Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Lifelong Formation and Education is sponsoring a program called “Biblical Literacy Made Easy” on June 9 at St. Agnes Church’s Pastoral center, 1920 Newburg Road.

The program, which will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., will be led by Brian Singer-Towns, an author and senior editorial staff member at St. Mary’s Press in Winona, Minn., and Dennis Kurtz, an author and national sales consultant who is also a workshop presenter for Saint Mary’s Press. The day will examine the structure and components of the Bible, explore its meaning from a Catholic perspective, and provide information to help people study and use it appropriately with both adults and youth in catechetical settings.

The cost is $25 per person, which includes lunch. For information call Maureen Grisanti Larison at 448-8581, ext. 1308, or reach her by email at mlarison@archlou.org. You may also contact Butch Ekstrom at 448-8581, ext. 1341, or by email at bekstrom@archlou.org.
