Program about African American inventors, artists to be held Feb. 2

“From Whence We Came,” a tribute to African American inventors and artists will be held Feb. 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at St. Martin de Porres Church, 3112 W. Broadway. The program will be presented in the church’s Thea Bowman Hall.

It will include an exhibit of inventions by African Americans of the past and present, according to a news release from the church.

The event is free and open to the public and people are invited to bring a guest “to see the contributions that African Americans have made and are continuing to make to society as a whole.”
