Priests entertain at variety show

The Louisville Chapter of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians hosted a Priest Variety Show Aug. 24 at Assumption High School. Father William Hammer, above left, performed as a clown and Father John Burke entertained the audience as Colonel Sanders before leading everyone in a rendition of “My Old Kentucky Home.” Below, a painting by Father Jerry Eifler was displayed. Father Maurice Hayes, above, played the guitar and sang “Tennessee Whiskey” and “The Mermaid.” Father Troy Overton, below, sang a parody called “There’s No Business Like Church Business.” The show was a fund-raiser for the local chapter.
