Presentation to honor seven women with Tower Awards

presentation-logoPresentation Academy will honor seven women during its 22nd annual Tower Awards ceremony on Oct. 5 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, 280 West Jefferson St.

“The Tower Awards is an annual mission-driven event honoring women leaders in their fields and highlighting the contributions and talents of these role models to Presentation Academy students and the Kentuckiana community,” according to a statement from the school.

All funds from the event benefit the school’s tuition assistance program. This year’s honorees are:

Arts and Communication — Deborah Wexler, vice president of corporate communications at GE Appliances.

Business Technology and Trade — Elizabeth Kizito, founder and president of Kizito Cookies.

Education — Donna George, 1966 graduate, adjunct faculty at Georgetown College.

Government and Law — Sheila A. Seadler, division chief in the adult trial division of the Louisville Metro public defender’s office.

Science and Healthcare — Charlotte Ipsan, chief administrative officer of Norton’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

Service and Advocacy — Judy A. Lambeth, president and CEO of Maryhurst.

The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Sister of Charity of Nazareth Edna V. Fabre.

The evening will begin with cocktails at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and the awards ceremony at 7 p.m. Tickets may be purchased for $100 each or $1,000 per table of 10. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Erin Zuber at 583-5935, ext. 103, or ezuber@presentationacademy.org.
