Prayer walk and reflections planned at Plowshares Farm

Plowshares Farm will host “Just Imagine!” a prayerful walk around the farm April 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The walk is intended to be “a simple and intentional celebration of our common home and our common destiny, stopping occasionally to stand in silent reverence of the life surrounding us, sharing dreams and visions of a better world, recommitting our lives to the creation of such a world,” a news release from the farm said.

Reflections will be offered by Alex Flood, CrossRoads Ministry; Felix Garza, National Farm Worker Ministry; Sister of Charity of Nazareth Brenda Gonzales; Becky Henle, Community Catholic Center; Ron Hustedde, University of Kentucky Extension, Community and Leadership Development; Lorena Miller, Doors to Hope; and Matt Brandstetter, Embodying the Way.

A simple meal of bread and soup with a vegan option will be served afterward. There is no charge for this event but donations will be accepted.

Register by April 18 at plwshare@scrtc.com or call/text 270-735-5265.
