Prayer service will honor victims of violence and of genocide

The 10th Annual Memorial Service for the Victims of Violence, War and Genocide in Africa and the African Diaspora will take place at 11:30 a.m. April 14 at St. Thomas More Church, 6105 S. Third St.

The interfaith prayer service for “peace and forgiveness” will “commemorate the lives of these victims through prayer and song,” according to a press release from organizers.

Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz will preside. A reception will follow the service.

The event is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Multicultural Ministry (OMM). For more information, contact the OMM at 636-0296.
