Parishes plan revival from Sept. 27-29

Three parishes in the Archdiocese of Louisville will host “The 2015 Interfaith Community-wide Revival” Sept. 27 to Sept. 29. Each day’s activities will include a meal at 5 p.m., praise and worship at 6:10 p.m. and the service at 6:30 p.m.

Revival services, focused on the theme “Cast Your Nets,” will begin Sept. 27 at St. Monica Church in Bardstown, Ky., where Father John T. Judie will speak on “Going Fishing.”

Father Judie is the pastor of Christ the King and Immaculate Heart of Mary churches in Louisville. Bus transportation will be offered for $5 per person and buses will depart at 4 p.m. from the Catholic Enrichment Center, 3146 W. Broadway.

The Sept. 28 service will feature The Rev. Dr. Valerie J. Washington, pastor of Hughlett Temple AME Zion Church. Her topic will be “The Gift of Another Day.” The service will be held at Christ the King Church, 718 S. 44th St.

The final night of the revival, Sept. 29, will feature a presentation called “My God is Awesome” by Deacon James Turner, pastoral administrator of St. Augustine and St. Martin de Porres churches in Louisville. The service will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1545 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive.

The revival is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Multicultural Ministry (OMM) and the following churches: Christ the King, Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Augustine, St. Martin de Porres, St. Monica, and Holy Rosary in Springfield, Ky.
