Immaculate Heart of Mary Sister Sandra M. Schneiders will present a three-day retreat on “The Resurrection as the Heart of the Christian Life” at the Nazareth Retreat Center on the campus of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in Nazareth, Ky. The retreat will begin May 10 at 6:30 p.m. and conclude May 12 with a noon meal.
Sister Schneiders holds a doctoral degree in sacred theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. She has written more than 100 scholarly and pastoral articles related to biblical studies, religious life, spirituality and feminism.
The cost of the retreat is $400 or $350 for commuters.
Sister Schneiders will also host a workshop for religious called “Retiring the Term Retirement: Ministry as Life not Job” on May 13. She will lead participants “through a discussion on the experience and understanding of ministry for religious today,” the release said. The day will begin at 9 a.m. and will conclude at 3:30 p.m. The fee is $40 and lunch is included.
