Nazareth Home named a member of an international compassion group

Nazareth Home, 2000 Newburg Road, is the first nursing home in the world to be accepted as an organizational member of the International Working Group on Compassionate Organizations.

A news release from the international group said Nazareth Home strives to “embody the seven values of the Working Group: compassionate action, effectiveness, connection, wisdom, integrity, responsiveness and responsibility. Organizations must meet the group’s values to be accepted as members.

Nazareth Home is a 168-bed long-term care and rehabilitation center with programs for short-term rehabilitation, memory care and skilled and long-term nursing care.

The International Working Group on Compassionate Organizations is made up of people from all over the world dedicated to fostering cultures of compassion in government, business, schools, faith groups, health care systems, service agencies, colleges and universities and other organizations, the release said.
