Multicultural Ministry office will benefit from sale of cupcake book

St. Augustine Church, 1310 W. Broadway, will host a book signing on June 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. by Kenya Turner who wrote a children’s book called “Little Cupcake Divas” about three little girls who help make cupcakes for a birthday party.

The book aims to promote cultural diversity and includes Turner’s recipe for strawberry cupcakes, according to a press release about the event. Turner owns Sweet On You, a local wholesale bakery.

The book is available at Carmichael’s Bookstore and as an ebook on mirasmartshop.com. A portion of the book’s proceeds will benefit the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Multicultural Ministry.
