National merit scholars selected

William Fowler, a student at St. Xavier High School, won the corporate-sponsored 2018 National Merit Novartis Scholarship sponsored by the Novartis Group. Jacob Sullivan, a student at St. Xavier High School, won the corporate-sponsored 2018 National Merit CDK Global, LLC Scholarship.

Sacred Heart Academy student Lillian Williams was named a finalist in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship competition.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition. Approximately 7,500 students will receive $31 million worth of scholarships, according to a news release from the organization.

Additional scholarships will be announced in the coming weeks and months.
