Minister information sessions scheduled

The Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Worship will offer information sessions for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion June 10 and 17 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 5431 Johnsontown Road.

Communion Minister Formation is a two-session program for those who have never attended archdiocesan formation and for those who will be new extraordinary ministers of holy Communion. The program fulfills the training portion of the canonical mandate required for this ministry.

An “update session” for those ministers who have already completed the archdiocesan two-session Communion Minister Formation Program will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. June 12 at St. Martha Church, 2825 Klondike Lane. This session will fulfill the requirements for continuing formation for communion ministers needing a (five-year) mandate renewal.

There is no fee for the formation program, which is funded by the Catholic Services Appeal, but registration is required. Register online at www.archlou.org/departments-and-services/agencies-facilities/worship-office. You can email worship@archlou.org or phone 636-0296, ext. 1260.
