Maria Price, the executive director of the St. John Center, a day shelter for homeless men, has been honored by St. Mary-of-the-Woods College.
The Catholic college in Indiana announced in a press release June 26 that Price has been presented the school’s Saint Mother Theodore Guerin Award. The award recognizes that Price “possesses similar purpose, devotion, community vitality and leadership as exhibited by the college’s foundress,” the announcement said.
Price, a member of St. William Church, graduated from the liberal arts college in 1987 and serves as an associate of the Sisters of Providence.
