Lay Catholics invited to attend annual ‘Day of the Laity’ June 2

The laity, including members of lay groups and associations, are invited to attend the annual Day of the Laity at St. Louis Bertrand Church, 1104 S. Sixth St., on June 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bay Baltes, director of the Ursuline Associate Community of Louisville, will be the featured speaker. Dominican Father Anthony Breen will give the opening address and Dominican Father Gregory Pine will speak on “The Contemplative Vocation of the Laity.”

The day will also include a Holy Hour, reconciliation, rosary and Mass. The conference is free, but participants should bring a lunch. Drinks will be provided.
