Kosair Charities and Ky. Athletic Hall of Fame announce inductees

Kosair Charities and the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame Committee announced the 2013 Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame inductees at a press conference May 30.

The inductees are Calvin Borel, Jerry Carroll, Julie Ditty, Pervis Ellison, Bo McMillin, Dwayne Woodruff and Donna Bender Moir.

Moir is a 1979 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and the school’s current athletic director. Under her leadership, Sacred Heart has won more state championships in women’s athletics than any other women’s program in the state.

James Quick, a 2013 graduate of Trinity High School, also will be recognized as “high school standout.” Quick will play football for the University of Louisville.

The inductees will be honored at an induction ceremony  June 13 in the Grand Ballroom of the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 830 Phillips Lane. Tickets are $75 per person or $600 per table and may be obtained through Kosair Charities. Call Stephanie Smith at 637-7696 for information about sponsoring tables or to purchase tickets.

Proceeds from the 2013 Induction Banquet will benefit Kosair Charities.
