Holy Cross launches internship program

Record Staff Report

Holy Cross High School, 5144 Dixie Highway, launched a new corporate internship program earlier this year to give students real-world experiences, according to a press release from the school.

The south-end school has partnered with more than 40 local businesses and organizations that give juniors and seniors “a variety of real-world authentic experiences each week during the school year,” the release said.

“We are excited to have launched the Corporate Internship Program and are thrilled with the real-world experience our students are having at their internships,” said Danielle Wiegandt, Holy Cross’ president. “There are certain lessons that just can’t be taught in the classroom. Our Corporate Internship Partners have become another teacher for our students. It is the strong partnerships we have with these businesses and organizations that are making our program so successful!”
