Gennesaret retreat will be held at the Abbey of Gethsemani Oct. 28-30

A Gennesaret Retreat for the Seriously Ill will be held Oct. 28-30 at the Abbey of Gethsemani, located south of Bardstown, Ky.

The retreat is designed for persons who live with chronic, life-threatening illness. The retreat provides rest, prayerful reflection and daily conferences, a news release from the organizers said.

The Eucharist is celebrated daily and the sacrament of the anointing of the sick will be offered. Retreat staff include an experienced nursing staff with additional team members providing hospitality, companionship and personal assistance for all participants.
