Free seven-week exercise program for people with arthritis planned

The Bellarmine University Doctor of Physical Therapy program’s students and professors will offer “Walk with Ease,” a free seven-week program for people with arthritis.

The program is designed for people who have difficulty exercising due to pain and stiffness from arthritis. Sessions will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Oct. 1 through Nov. 21 at the “SuRF” Center on Bellarmine University’s campus, 1701 Knights Way.

Participants will receive health and physical fitness screenings, advice and support from healthcare professionals, an exercise band and an individualized walking program, an announcement from Bellarmine said.

To register, contact Lu Ann Muench, scheduler, at 272-8029, or email lmuench@bellarmine.edu.
