Four priests receive new assignments

Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz has made the following appointments.

Father Terry Bradshaw
Father Terry L. Bradshaw

Rev. Terry L. Bradshaw has been appointed pastor of the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral in Bardstown, Ky., and St. Michael Church in Fairfield, Ky., effective Oct. 15.

Father Bradshaw is currently pastor of St. Bernadette Church, where he has served since 2010. He has also served as pastor of St. Bartholomew and St. Athanasius churches and as a chaplain at Mercy Academy and Presentation Academy. He was ordained in 1980.

 

Father Fickteman
Father William L. Fickteman

Rev. William L. Fichteman has been appointed administrator pro tempore of St. Bernadette Church in Prospect, Ky., effective Oct. 15.

Father Fichteman, who retired in 2011, has served as a senior associate at Our Mother of Sorrows, St. Elizabeth of Hungary and St. Therese churches since 2013. He has served as pastor at St. James Church in Elizabethtown, Ky.; St. Ignatius Church in White Mills, Ky.; and the Cathedral of the Assumption.

He also served as the executive director of the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Clergy Personnel Commission. He has served as a chaplain at Sacred Heart Academy. He was ordained in 1981.

Father William D. Hammer
Father William D. Hammer

Rev. William D. Hammer has been appointed pastor of St. Margaret Mary Church, effective Oct. 15.

Father Hammer is currently pastor of the Basilica of St. Joseph in Bardstown and St. Michael in Fairfield. He has served at these parishes since 2005. He has also served as pastor of St. Gabriel Church.

Father Hammer also has been the director of the archdiocese’s Office of Ecumenism and Continuing Education for Clergy. He has served as a chaplain at St. Xavier High School. He was ordained in 1980.


Father James M. Reinhart
Father James M. Reinhart

Rev. James M. Reinhart was appointed administrator pro tempore of St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi Church in Payneville, Ky., and St. Theresa Church in Rhodelia, Ky., effective August 10.

Father Reinhart, who retired in June, had previously served as administrator of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Campbellsville, Ky.; Our Lady of the Hills Church in Finley, Ky.; and Our Lady of Fatima Church in Phillipsburg, Ky.

He also served as associate pastor of St. Augustine Church in Lebanon, Ky., and Holy Name of Mary Church in Calvary, Ky. He was ordained in 2010.
