FiveStar and St. Catharine College join efforts to provide financial aid

Last spring FiveStar convenience stores partnered with St. Catharine College in St. Catharine, Ky., to provide every new, full-time student who commuted daily to school with a $250 FiveStar gift card.

More than 40 students have benefitted from this partnership this fall semester. The students will receive another gift card in January to help with spring semester expenses.

According to a statement from the school, the cards can be used to purchase gas and any other items sold at the 76 FiveStar stores throughout Kentucky.

“St. Catharine College is pleased to partner with FiveStar in this unique way that benefits our commuter students,” said the school’s president Dr. Cindy Gnadinger in a statement.

“Making college affordable for our students is one of our ongoing commitments.”

Prospective students may also visit that website to register for a Preview Day which will take place Oct. 3.
