Dominican Sister Anne Regis Hartnett, an educator, dies at 91

Dominican Sister of Peace Anne Regis Hartnett died July 3 at Sansbury Care Center in St. Catharine, Ky. She was 91 and had been a Dominican Sister for 69 years.

Sister Hartnett, a native of Cambridge, Mass., served as a guidance counselor and educator in Kentucky, Massachusetts, New York and Tennessee. In Kentucky, she served as principal of Holy Rosary Academy.

In 2001 Sister Hartnett moved to Sansbury Care where she served in a ministry of prayer.

She is survived by her brother Thomas Hartnett and several nieces, nephews and members of her community.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on July 8 at the Sansbury Care Center Chapel, followed by burial in the St. Catharine Motherhouse Cemetery.
