“Facing An Uncomfortable Truth,” a new documentary by Steve Crump, will be shown at Trinity High School on June 24.
The documentary explores the “hardships endured and contributions made by Kentucky’s early African American Catholics going back to the 18th century,” a news release from Crump said.
Crump is a reporter for WBTV in Charlotte, N.C., and a documentary film maker. He attended Trinity High School and was a parishioner of the now-closed St. Peter Claver Church in Louisville.
The viewing is free and open to the public. The film will be shown at Trinity’s Communication Arts Center, 4011 Shelbyville Road, June 24 at 3 p.m. Reservations are not required but are encouraged. Contact mycrumpdocs@gmail.com to make a reservation.
