Collection will help higher education

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

May God bless you! The annual collection for Catholic higher education will be conducted in all parishes of the Archdiocese this weekend. Bellarmine University, the Catholic University of America, Saint Catharine College and Spalding University will benefit from the proceeds of this collection.

These institutions strive to encourage persons of all ages to pursue excellence and to examine their values in the light of the Gospel and the common good. Your donations will help students who otherwise might be deprived of this opportunity to attend a Catholic college or university and will contribute to the mission of these institutions.

I invite you to support this important educational mission of our Church. The colleges and universities join me in expressing their gratitude for your gifts.

Sincerely yours in our Lord,
Most Reverend Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D.
Archbishop of Louisville
