Church of the Epiphany sponsors retreat on social justice June 17-18

Church of the Epiphany’s Social Responsibility Steering Committee will sponsor a retreat at Mount St. Francis, 101 St. Anthony Drive, Mt. St. Francis, Ind., June 17-18.

The retreat, entitled “Taking the World to Heart,” will serve as “spiritual nourishment” to individuals who are either working for social justice causes or those interested in working on such causes, said Larry Howe-Kerr, one of the organizers.

The speaker will be Joe Grant, a retreat director and program developer at JustFaith Ministries. Grant is also the author of “Still in the Storm” and co-founder of the CrossRoads retreat center at St. William Church in West Louisville.

The cost of the retreat is $70 for participants staying in a double room and $85 for a single room. The cost includes three meals on June 18. The registration deadline is June 3. For more information, contact Larry Howe-Kerr at 245-9733, ext. 21, or larry@churchofepiphany.com.
