Chancery announces new priest assignments

Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz has announced the following appointments.

Reverend Jeffrey P. Shooner will be pastor of St. Boniface Church while remaining pastor of St. Patrick Church and vicar for priests, effective Feb. 1, 2017.

Father Shooner, a native of Louisville, has served as the vicar for priests since 2011 and previously served as the director of the vocation office.

Since his ordination on Dec. 11, 2004, he has been assigned to the following parishes: Immaculate Conception in La Grange, Ky.; St. James in Elizabethtown, Ky.; St. Ignatius in White Mills, Ky.; St. Lawrence; and St. Patrick.

Reverend Peter Bucalo will be associate pastor of Holy Name Church in Louisville while remaining associate pastor of Holy Trinity Church, effective immediately.

Reverend Adam B. Carrico will be associate pastor at St. Boniface Church while remaining associate pastor of St. Patrick Church, effective February 1st, 2017.

Reverend Matthew T. Hardesty will be assistant to the vicar for priests while remaining pastor of Holy Trinity Church in Fredericktown, Ky., and Holy Rosary Church in Manton, Ky., effective Jan. 1, 2017.
